I’m an attorney dedicated to providing clear, accessible, and confidential legal support for people living in the smaller towns and rural areas of North Carolina. I founded Rural NC Law to give individuals and families a dependable place to turn for help with a variety of legal matters. If we don’t have the expertise to help, I will do my best to find someone who can.

Before becoming a lawyer, I spent many years in both corporate operations and client-service positions. That work taught me the value of careful listening, thorough preparation, and straightforward advice. I rely on these skills every day in my legal practice.

On the personal side, I have lived in Durham since 1999. I grew up in Winston-Salem and received a BA from Duke University, a master’s degree from North Carolina State University, and a law degree from North Carolina Central University. My children attended UNC-Chapel Hill and Appalachian State University (x2), and we have Wake Forest grads in the family as well. Our college sports rivalries nearly cover the state!

I currently focus on clients throughout Caswell, Person, Granville, Vance, Warren, and Franklin Counties, although I plan to expand the firm across the state. My goal is to offer professional guidance where you feel heard, supported, and fully informed.
